The Universal Therapy System is an alternating air replacement system designed to prevent and treat pressure ulcers. The UTS works on the principle of actively encouraging tissue blood flow by gently increasing and decreasing pressure within the support surface over a 10 minute cycle. This results in the reduction of surface pressures helping to prevent tissue breakdown and encourage healing.
